Context and issues
In the framework of the Global Partnership for Education (GPE), UNESCO Yemen tasked Masae to develop an Education Management Information System (EMIS) for Yemen's Ministry of Education.
This involved a review of the needs of the Ministry, an assessment of the local work conditions, technologies and connectivity available, and the recommendation of a suitable system. Masae's contribution includes the development of the EMIS system and its piloting with real data collection, data entry and visualization on around 50 schools in the country.
Masae also trained teams from Yemen's Ministry of Education on how to maintain the corresponding server, as well as update the platform's code and data.
