Context and issues
A solar electricity provider asked Masae to identify promising sales areas in Liberia.
The goal was to target unelectrified or unreliably electrified areas with the highest population density, highest need for electricity supply & highest purchasing power.
Another objective was to gain knowledge on their presence in the country and on the distribution of their shops and agents.
Solution
Masae leveraged open-source and client's data to build a geomarketing platform.
This platform allows users to filter the settlements based on different indicators (population, distance to infrastructure or to existing client's shops).
Masae also used a clustering algorithm to regroup settlements based on their characteristics and help the client to prioritize areas.
